In the movie Frozen, Princess Elsa outwardly looks poised, regal, and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret — she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It’s a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. The same could be said about us. How many times do we hinder ourselves and hold back out inner powers with fear of how they will be perceived, or even worst, fear of our strengths? Princess Elsa was haunted by the moment her abilities nearly killed her younger sister Princess Anna. Fear stopped her from living, enjoying, and experiencing life. Often, we too dwell on our past mistakes. Focusing on your past holds you back from fully experiencing and receiving the blessings of your future…or even the present. Because of fear, Elsa isolated herself from everyone and spent every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. As Else learns through her journey, the past is in the past. What we must learn is what the devil intends for bad, God WILL make good. So no matter what has happened to you or what you’ve done, don’t let those situations/circumstances stop you. LET. IT. GO.
