“Friendship refreshes the soul.”
Over the holiday weekend, I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by friends old and new. While reflecting over the last few days only one word comes to mind to describe – refreshing. My Labor Day weekend wasn’t “refreshing” because I spent the day at the beach, went BBQ hopping or ate ice cream and freeze pops all day…but because I was surrounded by like-minded, intelligent men and women who enjoy stress and drama free environments. We were truly in a “positive vibes only” zone and it was thirst quenching.
This week I challenge you to look around and study your circle. Who around you is no longer “refreshing?” Who leaves a stale taste in your mouth just from being in their presence? Who leaves you drained? That person, CUT THEM OFF. In this day and age, we have no time to waste on negative, uninspiring, “thirst” leaving friendships.
Surround yourself with people you can pour into and people who pour into you. Not those who you have to question if their friendship is true, genuine or sincere. Support, help and love those within your circle, but know your worth and limits…don’t allow yourself to come out dry.
